2001 nissan altima gauges drop and loss power

I have a 2001 nissan altima hat drives great except every few weeks the gauges will drop off. Sometimes they come back up with no issue . at other times it loses power and i have to sit a bit and then it will run fine.

I had similar problem long time ago. Ended up replacing the instrument panel with a used one, that had a close enough mileage in it.
