2001 Maxima GLE Sunroof

I have a 2001 Maxima GLE. I tried to open my sunroof today, and it only tilted into the up position. When I tried to close it, nothing happened. I tried all combinations of both switches and it seems to stay stuck in the tilted position.

When I tried the switch, I hear a clicking in the vacinity of the electric motor (in the headliner, near the eyeglass compartment, where the sunroof motor assembly is located). What can I do, to restore the funtion of the sunroof? What can I do, to get the sunroof into the closed position?

Please help!!!
