My car will start, usually, but started going "dead" a few weeks ago. I can disconnect both battery cable connections, put them back on the terminals, and then it will start again. Any ideas? I had the battery tested and it tested good. In addition, my clock went out and my trip odometer resets back to 0.0 regardless if I remove the battery connections or not. Anyone know where that fuse is located for the car dash clock?

I bet it is something stupid and simple that has been overlooked.

I have the exact same symptoms (dead clock, and trip odometer that resets every time you take out the key). Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

I have same problem after replacing a fog light bulb. Clock is dead, a/c controls, trip odometer all reset after shutting off car. Anybody know what the deal is? I appreciate any help, it's driving me nuts.

Check fuse #12 (10A).

My fuses are not numbered, just abbreviated. Can you tell me what fuse that is. Thanks.

That solved it. The fuse was blown. Thank you so much. Diagram helped locate it, fuse is labeled Batt Acc, 10A on my 04 I35. God bless you.
