My passenger-side window and both the rear windows are not responding to their up/down switches. I cannot even hear the whirr of the motor if I pull/push the switch. The driver's side window is working fine.

All three windows went dead at the same time. I read on the forums that a dead window is usually the result of a bad regulator. But how did all three go bad together? Is there a common regulator for these windows?

Thanks!-Quark

Does the '01 have a lock-out switch to keep kids from rolling down the windows? It would be a button on the main drivers-side panel and show a picture of a window with a "X" over it. If it is pushed in, the rear and passenger windows won't roll down....

Hi Audtatious,

I used to take pride in my problem-solving skills, but you've given me a reality check today. Thanks for that.I'd gone looking for serious problems: broken regulator, loose wires, burned motor, etc, without verifying that the basics were fine. The problem was exactly what you suspected; the lock-out switch was pushed in.Thanks for the advice. It taught me a valuable lesson in problem-solving. Besides, I won't have a red face in front of the mechanic tomorrow!

Not a problem. It happens to the best of us

Glas that was the problem and not something major.
