I have been told that my front engine mount is...bad. I have found several different types/brands (fluid type, hydraulic, soild rubber, etc.) ranging from $60.00 - $250.00. Is there any particular type that works better than others or are they all basically the same. Car has 168K miles on it, so I don't want to sink too much into this if not necessary. I appreciate the help.

The OEM front mount from NICO sponsor, IoS (Infiniti of Scottsdale) - infinitipartsUSA.com cost is @168 (MSRP @ $221).

If I were you, I would go OEM which should last for a long time.

Local Infiniti dealer is telling me the engine mount for my car has wire or sensor attached to it. Is this correct? None of the mounts shown on any websites show the one with the wire being necessary.

Yeah, some 5th gens had electronic motor mounts that could vary their stiffness. If you want to save some money and buy a non-electronic version you will be fine...it won't cause any problems and from what I've heard from most 5th gen owners, you probably won't even notice a difference.
