2001 I30 Engin Problem?

One day after I changed engine oil and air filter at a local store for my 2001 Infiniti, my car cannot start without push the accelerator pedal, and the engine will stop after release the accelerator pedal. I do not know what cause this. Is there anybody have this kind of experience? Is this just coincident with oil change? What should I do? Thanks for your wisdom and suggestions.

Check the air filter/filter box for restrictions. What kind of replacement filter are you using?

I do not know the one replaced by the shop (Faslube). I have also tried a Purolator air filter bought from Advanced Auto. After installed the one I bought, it seems work at first. I tried few minutes later, no lucky, still not work. Any ideas about this?

I checked the engine oil, it is darker than before I sent it to the shop. Is this will contribute to the problem?

The new oil should be a honey-brown color. If it's darker than before you took it in, I'd say there's a good chance they didn't actually change the oil. Take it back to the shop and talk to a manager.

if cleaning the IAC doesnt work, it may be possible the MAF connector got moved around or upset when he replaced the air filter...
