So I am heading towards replacing all the coil packs (P1320 code) and I see that certain packs are for production dates 7/99-5/00 and post 6/00. My production date is 12/00. I am guessing that this difference is also associated with the different factory pack numbers. So what is the actual diference? Were the early models loaded with Mitsubishi coils and the later with the Hanshin? Is that the only difference? When I look at the local parts store(AZ-Checker-Advanced), they do not differentiate for production dates. Any insights?

Your best bet is to match up part numbers off of your old coil packs so that way you won't have to worry about it. Also, your local Nissan/Infiniti parts department should be able to help you with any differences. If they ask you for a production date, then you should make sure that you get the proper ones.

Actually if you get it from nissan, then you will be ok, but the old coilpacks had a tendancy to fail and were replaced with a new part number. The new coil packs have green dots on them. Nissan will not sell you the older version. So dont be supprised if you go in saying you need a coilpack with a partnumber but give you a different one.
