I have bought my I30 a year ago with 130000km on board. No problems till june-july, when ABS, TCS, SLIP lights started to come on from time to time.Sometimes while driving, sometimes when starting the car.Not very often, but lately it seems to happen every time I start the car.Is it a serious problem, or is it just the humidity and cold/hot weather?

This sounds like something that at the very least should be looked at. If it is your ABS sensor failing, the brakes may not work as well as they were designed to.

I had the same issue and it turned out to be a wheel speed sensor.

That would be my first guess as well.

Thanks a lot guys - this is a real forum - people actually trying to help.Do I have to take it to a Nissan dealer, or any shop could detect which sensor is faulty?

Depends on the shop. If they have a Consult II scanner, then probably, but that's no guarantee. A stealership can definitely help out.

I have 3 mechanics,

1. myself, for easy to medium jobs.2. Han at A1 auto, for anything on the inside of the engine, that I am not capable of fixing.3. Stealership, they can fix just about anything, but cost a lot.

So what happens if you put on aftermarket wheels? How do you keep it from coming on?

The wheel speed sensor is not part of the wheel. Aftermarket wheels should not trigger a fault light.

So is this sensor easyto replace and where is it located on the wheel?

This lists out as a .5 of an hour job in the labor guides, I'm guessing for each sensor (and there probably are four). Generally, these are found on the inside of the rotor/hub unit. I have not personally pulled a wheel yet to look for one on my Infiniti, but messed with a few on a GM and an Eagle. You could also try hitting them with some electric parts cleaner spray (wear safety glasses). I always try the easy fix first, then go from there.
