I know that this would normally be a general A/C question except for the fact that I think it seems to be working just fine, but even when sweltering inside the cabin, it just won't stay on. :bang

This one is just bizarre. I can't say I was ever a fan of the wonky climate controls (having to press different buttons in a certain sequence to get the settings you want, instead of just a single button) and the fact that there is no "A/C on" control.

Is there anyone familiar with how the controls determine when to use the A/C?

Where are the temp sensors?

Anyone ever 'override' the climate controls be be allowed to 'force' it on?

Thanks in advance.

I would suspect low refrigerant levels, except I just added 12oz. I get freaked out because with the can attempting to charge, it seems to spike pressure because the system shuts itself off for no good reason.

I really wish we had an 'A/C on' switch in these cars.
