NEW OWNER OF A 2ND HAND 2001 I-30

I would like to know if someone can comment on 3 areas:

ALARM: I do not have keyless door/alarm opener, charge is $225 at dealer for new unit and coding. Can I just purchase an after market unit? Does the old alarm need to be dismantled or disconnected??

I want to get a few extra keys , they are $75 a pop, is there any other alternatives.

I purchased the vehicle with a rebuilt title, therefore no warranty from Infiniti remains, can someone recommend some good companies that offer extended warranties.

Thanks :) email : [email protected]

Ouch. The aftermarket warranty is gonna be tough with a rebuild title. (So is getting full coverage insurance).

Try warrantybynet.com for a quote, I've had good experiences with them.

Remotesunlimited.com (?) has remote transmitters for cheap, or look on ebay.

Contact Joe at Scottsdale Infiniti for any parts needs (and your key) at infinitipartsusa.com or call him at (480) 941-0055. He should be able to make you a smoking deal - tell him you're a NICO member.

Welcome to the club!!!!

If they're anything like my 2k2 I35 keys then you'll probably have to get them from the dealer or some other Infiniti parts supplier (I believe they have a chip in them - so no copies).

As far as the remotes go - I see them on Ebay all the time - MUCH cheaper than what the dealer quoted you too. I've bought keyless remotes (some used/some new) for several vehicles and never had a problem in them working.
