Here are a bunch of symptoms, upon looking at schematics, the SECU seems to be a common denominator here. Might these be related to the SECU?

Windows always 'on'Lights always 'on' (power to them)Factory Security System not workingRemote no longer "chirps" or light flashBattery Drain about .1 amps! Won't last the night in cold weather.

Any Ideas?IF the SECU is blown would I even see ANY operation out of these systems? Or is this like a default behavior when it is by passed?

Where can I get one of these and about how much would it be?

Thanks,Tim

Update:

Amateur electrician weekend for me. I found a service manual and was able to determine that the harness appears to be OK, the leads into the SECU appear to be supplying the proper power.

This is all staring to make me convinced it is the SECU.

Anyone know of a good supplier?

Is the dealer the only place to get someone with a Consult-II to look at it?

Thanks-Tim

OK; so here is the ultimate issue...

The RAP "Retained Power" function that allows the operation of the windows for 45 seconds after turning the car off, relies on a diode that only allows power to flow to the window relay and not also back to the lead from the ignition switch back to the SECU.

That diode was burned out and had been jumped by the CROOKS AT 'COMPETITION INFINITI' OF SMITHTOWN, NY.

So the RAP was supplying power to the SECU terminal that was expecting none, hence the RAP never turns off!!

I can close the windows with the key in, so I just clipped it. The next time I have the dash open I will trace and replace the original diode or rewire as necessary. The important point is, all the other systems are operating properly because the SECU now knows when the car has been turned off!

Glad you got it figured out. This will definitely be good info to have on hand in case anyone else has the same issue (however unlikely).
