Hello all, I am new here and have come here looking for some help. I live in San Antonio TX, and I need to find people here that specialize in the 2001 Frontier Supercharged that I have. You see it is running absolutely terrible at the moment and I'm by no means an import guy. (sorry everyone) I'm a Dodge man to the end. lol. Basically when I want to give it throttle it only goes like a regular car would go. Not like a supercharged car should go. I did used to own a 2000 Toyota 4Runner supercharged and that thing ran circles around people. So I thought I would get that same kind of performance out of my new Frontier toy. If anyone can tell me who I should see here in town about my truck any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! And have a great Thanksgiving!!

Chances are that the knock sensor has failed...they all did...and it has severely limited the output of the supercharger. The knock sensor is located in the valley under the intake manifold, not fun to replace but some SC owners have bypassed and relocated the sensor to a more user friendly location on the block. Hook up a obdII scan tool and look for a knock sensor code, sometimes they turn the CEL on but most of the time they don't.

Hi, and thanks for the help. Yeah I have horrible gas mileage at the moment, (about 8 mpg) and I can sometimes hear what almost sounds like a fluttering/exhaust leak when accelerating?? Not sure about all that, but I will definitely check for that sensor. Thanks again!
