Hey, usually hang out in the 240 forum but I came up with a pretty different idea. Everyone swaps the SR or RB or v-8's into thier 240's but I thought why not try a VG33ER out of a SE Frontier or SE Xterra. I don't know if any of you would be interested, I just thought i would get some feedback from you. Also if any you have these engines adn know of anything that might inhibit the swap i would be glad to know. Thanx in advance.

I know there is a guy on here somewhere with a 4.5 L from a Q45 in his. If he can get that beast in you shouldn't have too much of a problem. Just time, cost and imagination should get you there. Also I remember some guy trying to put a VG30DETT in his 240, but never followed up on it. Search the site or google it you should find what your looking for.

Unless you go the supercharged version, the VG33 is kind of a slug. Horsepower-wise, it's not much better than the KA motor that came stock in a 240, though it would be torquier.

Yeah teh R in the engine code stands for suercharged. Just thought it might have some potential seeing as how it is boosted from the factory.

because you could fab up a mount to use the super charger from that motor to work on the KA24DE.

Search about it, I think thomas knight still has a kit but you have to special order it.
