About a week ago, my daughter managed to lose the cup holder insert that goes inside of the larger cup holder in the front of my '01 Pathy. I've done a bit of cursory searching around (ebay, Courtesy Nissan, etc.), and can't seem to find this particular piece. Does anyone know what it's called, or, better still, have a part number?

Or, even better, have a black one you'd like to sell/give/trade for my irresponsible kid? :lolling:

NOOOOO YOU'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE

Just kidding (I hope, anyway). When I get my Pathfinder back in a few days I'll see if it has a part number for you.

@Towncivilian:

LOL!

Y'know, sometimes I think there should be a 12-Step group for people who obsess over the completeness of their cars:

Scene: a church basement. Stale cigarette smoke hangs in the air, and the smell of burnt coffee permeates the fabric of the worn folding chairs arranged in a circle. The chairs are filled with a motley assortment of Pathfinder enthusiasts. A middle-aged man speaks:

"Hello, I'm Scott... and I won't rest until my ten-year-old Pathfinder is COMPLETELY STOCK."

Ha! That situation almost seems plausible, but I don't think anybody here is that obsessed, at least not yet. Excellent description, by the way.

Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I hope no one's that obsessed... though I've known some classic car guys who make that scenario look tame.

Personally, I just hate to have a smaller cup or can slosh around in that second spot.

I think it's part 68430NA, as shown in http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder ... _4880.html. Available here from CourtesyParts. In these illustrations, it looks to go in the front cupholder, though, not the rear one. Weird.

Even that $20 seems expensive. But unless you find one in a junkyard, what are you going to do? Shop the big aftermarket cup holder insert/sleeve market? :chuckle:

Edit: I just realized that in the illustrations, mine looks more like the last two. But the part # for the cupholder insert in that illustration -- 68430N -- is also the part number for the entire cupholder assembly in the first illustration. Maybe email CourtesyParts and ask them to confirm which one you need? They have pretty good customer service.

I still have mine, brand new (took it out the day the new truck came home). P/N on it is 68432-4W400. Prices seem to run
about $48.

Hey Naladude,
I'll take you up on that. I'd have responded sooner, but freakin' Yahoo mail seems to be sending my "new messages posted" emails to my spam folder, so this is the first time I've been back and seen that there have actually been some replies.

Drop me a line at [email protected]. I'm more than glad to send you whatever shipping costs it'll run you.

By the way, we're talking about a black one, right?

Thanks,

Scott :dblthumb:

Hello all. I am looking for a black cupholder insert for my pathfinder. Anyone know where I can get one? :tisk:

Shadwa,
As you can see from the previous posts, finding this item used seems to be next to impossible. I finally bit the bullet and ended up getting a new one from Courtesy Nissan in Texas (www.courtesynissan.com) - they've been referenced on many of the boards as a great place to find older parts. They had exactly the one I needed - black cupholder insert for my 2001 Pathy. The trouble is, I ended up paying about $45 total after shipping... but I GOT MY CUPHOLDER FINALLY!!! :D

There are quite a few on eBay right now priced much lower than dealer price. It seems that the Xterra uses the same cupholder so you can
search for both "xterra" cupholder and "pathfinder" cupholder.
