2001 AC control unit

I may have found a replacement for my unit with the buttons that have fallen off. Is there a guide available that shows how to remove the old unit and install a new one?

I believe you remove the clock, unscrew the two top screws, remove the trim around the center dashboard, untwist the incandescent bulb bases from their sockets within the A/C control unit, unclip any wiring harnesses behind the unit, and then from there I'm not sure. I'd think it'd be relatively easy to figure out, though.

i know this is a little late for a reply but should be 2 screws in the bottom near the gear shift once those are out the entire face plate comes off exposing the screws that hold the deck and climate control cluster onto the dash if i recall correctly its 2 screws that hold the climate control remove those and u gotta harness to unplug.. to remove the faceplate of the climate control i think its 6 clips that hold it to the module, once u remove the the faceplate for the climate control it should be really easy to changes lights, buttons and what ever else u need to change. hope that helps.

You don't happen to have any pictures from when you had the HVAC controls pulled forward, do you?

I'm doing 1/2 of what you did, but attempting to go from NAV system to non-NAV.

I'll even build a How To Guide for everyone.

Sorry I don't. There was another thread on here, where a guy went from nav to non nav. Maybe if you find that thread he can help you out.
FWIW, what it cost to replace his system, and get the correct trim pieces, is just about the same as it cost for me a new unit. Installing it myself was not difficult at all, and I have no experience with this type of activity. If I can help you in anyway, let me know.
