Hi All,

Just joined the forum! Went out to the truck the other day and upon starting noticed all the gauges were inop. But, all the warning lights were functioning properly, blinkers and high beam indicator work. The rheostat is inop too. My concern is that it needs a new cluster--but even more so is that the ODO will not be correct when it comes time to sell if I indeed put a new (probably used) one in. Is there a fuse or relay that controls gauges? Or is it something on the back of the cluster? Any adivce would be great, or maybe point me to a previous thread on the board some where. I can't really drive the car now as the speedo doesn't work

Welcome to NICO.

I believe there are some brass ground screws on the backside of the instrument cluster. Loosen and retighten those. I have a pulled cluster somewhere, I'll dig it out and take a look for you soon to pinpoint the location of the ground screws.

Ah perfect! Also, it looks easy to pull a cluster, but if you could give me some input on that too, that would be great!
