Took my '01 today after seeing this the night of, apparently the service manager I talked to said that the recall was for only japanese made Sentras and Altimas? I don't know if that's verifiable or not, but I guess I'm in the clear. Either way, thanks for the heads up Towncivilian!

I'm not sure whether all dealers have the latest information yet. I had thought the recall was initially only for the Maxima and Cube (or some other model) too, but it seems not. If I manage to find a recall TSB on the subject, I'll be sure to post it here.

Thanks Chuck. I've been meaning to update this thread but always forget. I'll do so soon.

Took my '03 QX4 in this morning... at drop off the service tech told me it was actually just some kind of plug (located under the seat), assuming he knew what he was talking about. This was recall 13V-136, passenger air bag inflator.

GRJoe take a look at this forum. I found this extremely helpful and it indeed was the problem I was having. My Pathfinder no longer wobbles. You'll find that the wobble is called a Death Sway.

I was going to attempt to fix it myself but I didn't have the proper tools. It cost me 400$ and according to that forum I scored a heck of deal with the mechanic.

I'd like to add that the affected model years now include 04 pathfinders as well, i'd advise anyone to keep checking to see if your vin falls under the affected vins because immediately after we purchased our pathfinder I checked to see if the recall had been done on it, nothing showed up at first (in november) then around january I checked the vin again and there in the search results was the open airbag recall, I called nissan to ask why it hadn't shown up the first time and the woman explain to me that the production sequence played a part in how the recall would be issued  but either way we got it done the next day and it only took two hours. (too bad the gt-r in the showroom at our local dealer wasn't unlocked)
