2001 2.4 Fontier Check Engine Light On [please help]

Check engine code PO301. Recently changed spark plugs wires cap & roatar . Still check engine light is on. Truck still rides a little rough. I know the code reads No.1 cylender misfire.

PLEASE HELP

did the light come on after or before you did the work?

if it was before, diconnect your battery for an hour to clear the code and see if it comes back.

It comes right back on. Still check engine light on. Also the light was on before I did the tune up.

Pull that #1 plug and see if the ceramic portion is cracked. Ensure the wires are plugged in properly.

You can also trouble shoot by replacing your new wire iwth one of the old ones on cylinder #1.

Did you use OEM parts?
