2000 y33 my courtesy lights dont turn on

when i open the door they dont turn on when i unlock with keyfob the interior lights do go on I don't know if it's a switch im new to the car but i tried all the overhead switch settings i think. ideas?

Hiya,

In my 1999, there's a three position switch in the overhead console area (right by the little map light). Position 1 is everything off no matter what, position 2 is map light and the lights work normally, position 3 is all overhead lights on.

Take another look overhead and check the position of this switch.

what about the lights on the doors? dont they turn on ever?
