well, its not enough for an SR and install costs, so i would say be original and build your motor with SOHC pistons and some nice rods, get a port & polish, bigger injectors, ecu upgrade, and a little suspension to handle it all.

Oh yeah get a cheap set of headers, too.

You absolutely must get a Nismo Power Brace and tension rods. It changes everything about the way your car handles+steers.

I have a different budget for the suspension. I already got the Nismo brace, just gathering up the rest of them so that i can install them all at once.

actually I can get the Greddy turbo kit really cheap. The problem is, I dont know if it'll fit my s13. I heard from somebody that the manifold would hit the firewall strut/shocks. If it fits, I wont have a problem getting it. Im not shooting for alot of HP either. I'll be happy if it hits 250-300whp:)

To let you guys know, I have an s13 with an s14(95 KA) in it.

And the S13 cams in it, right? the 91-early 93's? If so, then great. But you really should be original and try for all motor. There are to many turbo crapheaps on this forum already.Your engine WILL last longer with a all engine setup, and you can get it into the 14's with less cash than a turbo setup.

Also, imagine all the torque!!!! And it's loud and proud!! (come on enzorwd, back me up!)

Shop around the parts forum here on NICO. I just got a set of headers for $75 shipped.

You really dont need the exhaust just yet; the intake is cheap too.We already have a 2" mandrel system from the cat back stock. You can get rods and pistons from http://www.nismoparts.com and they are cheap. Here's the part no's:

12010-30R10 std. grade 112010-30R11 std. grade 212010-30R12 std. grade 3

12010-30R72 oversized 0.50mm12010-30R73 oversized 1.00mm

The grades have to be mached with the ones on top of your existing pistons (the stamp on top of your piston says the number). Oversizing is only if you have to have the cylinders bored and honed for a rebuild.

You should go with simple OE parts as you are not going to go above 11.5 to 1 compression. You can get the pistons, rods, and all the other hardware for about $400-500. You dont have to shop at nismo parts to get them though. You could get them from a sponser here.

Wow, the 14s. I can kick a tricycle down the 1320 in about 14 seconds.

what is "he" making for 1200 bucks? because you can get a mani for like 250 from jgs , turbo, wastegate, bov, fmic all from ebay for less than a grand, and then a set of injectors for like 100 and a computer for 600 from jim wolf (great since theres nothing to mess up with tuning) and random piping and fittings and stuff from jcwhitney and jgs..... that should be just around 2 grand
