2000 Sentra se - temp control running slightly warm

OK I'm finally getting a working a/c compressor put in this week, but I need to figure out why my air seems to be coming out 5-10 degrees warmer than the ambient air.

I checked the air mix door and it seems to be closing tightly, I hear it snap in the full cold setting and can't push it any further with a screwdriver - I am wondering if maybe the foam seals around the door are leaking? I read a TSB on this in the 2002-2003 models but was wondering if this has been a problem in other years?

Oh yeah just turned 190k, sat on the dealer's lot for six months or so before I bought it.

I searched and couldn't find anything.
