2000 sentra 2.0 problem

has dual overhead cam 2.0.. idles fine, stomp on gas pedal it barely runs.. gradually ease into gas pedal it will eventually get up to about 5k rpm.. what should i check?

Maf Voltages, TPS voltages, check plugs, gap of plugs, fuel filter....

It's my sister-in-law's car,, just found out it has been running like this since she bought it almost a year ago. the oil has been changed recently, I pulled the plugs and they look fairly new.. they are very clean but have a little white tint to them,, maybe they've been too hot?? where can i find how to check the MAF and TPS sensors?

Also have the dealer run the VIN, there's a recall on some 2.0 ECUs. Not sure it's the cause, but it's worth a shot.

I called a nissan dealer gave them the VIN and said it has NO recalls or updates.....

Here are some symptoms, maybe they help maybe they wont...when i turn the ign on the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light does NOT come on... it should cycle on and off right?

with engine Idling, unplug the MAF and engine dies...I tried cleaning the MAF and nothing changed.unplug crank sensor, nothing changed.unplug TPS, nothing changes.

shifts very hard into second gear, even at low speed..
