i have a 2002 nissan pathfinder. whenever my car gets to around 2000 rpm it makes a noise, it only happens at around 2000 rpm, it goes away when the rpm gets higher. it sounds like a engine struggling noise.what could be causing this ?

Describe the noise. It'll help us answer your question.

yeah my qx4 does that too, at 2000 rpm the engine seems to vibrate more and be most loudest. Nothing wrong, just the peak of its torque occurs at 2000 rpms most presumably, the shift points (depending on your driving) tend to be between 2300 and 3000 rpm, its normal. If you hear a clanking or a chatter, then you gotta worry, but if its engine loudness and shakyness, no biggie.
