Opted for some preventative maintenance this week, so I dropped the QX4 off at the local shop (they specialize in Nissan and Toyota). At 103K, these are the bigger things being done:
- Timing Belt and Water Pump- Spark Plugs- Transmission, Power Steering Flush- Injector Cleaning
Recently brake power booster was replaced. Balance of brake system is fine. (Although I hate the ceramic pads on it...)
Shocks and Struts (KYB) are new within 6 months.
When they got in the engine:
- One of the cam seals was leaking – both replaced- The coolant plug (not sure the technical term?) had also been leaking -replaced- New timing belt tensioner- New distributor cap (wires are fine)
Can anyone think of anything else that should be looked at while it's apart? I expect to have it put back together tomorrow mid-day.
There are a few minor items being done – some new rubber where it dried out, oil change, lubrication, but that about covers it.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
