hi, i am new to the forum, and my name is paul. i drive a jeep, but i am trying to help out family. they drive a infiniti QX4. its a 2000. the code is P0171. it came back with a back with a bunchof different possibilites. how would i be able to narrow it down? thanks for the help, and if this is the wrong section let me know. i did some more research and found, P0171 Fuel System Lean, Bank 1. i origionally tried the Q45, but then was suggested to try here. I was also suggested that the fuel filter might need replacing. is there anything else that could be the culprit? thanks.

Whats up Paul. I'm from San Diego, CLAIREMONT to be exact. Wish I could help ya, do you know if the QX4 has the VG 3.3 engine or the VQ 3.5?? It's probably 3.5 , those are notorious for O2 sensor problems, I doubt its a dirty MAf sensor unless u got a K&N air filter

If its a 2000 it has the 3.3 most likely the pre cat 02 sensor has gone bad. But I would replace both of the bank 1 sensors just to be safe. (passenger side sensors)

When my 2001 QX4 had a P0171 code, the MAF needed to be replaced. Good luck.
