Car: 2000 Q45 115k - with issues

Post

I posted a while back about my Q's problems

I took it to a close shop to have it inspected as it was making a funny howling sound.
They say the car has been lowered too much and it is causing the steering rack to bind internally.

They recommend new rack, steering pump and out tie rod ends and of course to put original springs back on. I guess it has tein s techs but they have had a coil cut off of them, so it has a 3in drop about or just less than 3in.

Just want an opinion on what is best to do.

Most people in here will probably recommend you go back with the original setup.

Try asking your question here ...you might have better luck:

Marshall you should take your car somewhere else. It sounds like that place runs like a dealership except the people there are not nearly as qualified to work on automobiles of any kind.

See what the dealer says.
