Also, the P1492 code may require and new component (not too expensive) and then installed (EVAP Canister Purge Control/Solenoid Valve). I am hoping that this is a simple replace job. I've read that I may need a new gas cap to resolve this code.
Has anyone encountered these codes and it became complicated and beyond the simplicity these codes suggest. I'd like to purchase the parts and take it to a mechanic and just pay to have them installed.
Are installation on these expensive? Relatively simple?
I need my Service Engine Soon light out to pass smog ASAP. These codes stand in my way
Thanks,
BJ
