The P0140 code is fairly specific, so I am assuming that I should just have the Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2 replaced. That should clear up that code? Yes?

Also, the P1492 code may require and new component (not too expensive) and then installed (EVAP Canister Purge Control/Solenoid Valve). I am hoping that this is a simple replace job. I've read that I may need a new gas cap to resolve this code.

Has anyone encountered these codes and it became complicated and beyond the simplicity these codes suggest. I'd like to purchase the parts and take it to a mechanic and just pay to have them installed.

Are installation on these expensive? Relatively simple?

I need my Service Engine Soon light out to pass smog ASAP. These codes stand in my way :)

Thanks,
BJ

The two aft O2 are easy to get to once you jack up the car - It took me longer to jack up the car. Also I got the open socked at Harbor Freight to change them out - Too 2 min. once underneath the car - and it took me longer to jack up the car and get enough clearance. The two aft 02's are underneath the car in right next to the center drive line area near to under the two front seats.
