2000 Q power antenna failure

OK I tried the forum search function and it apparently isn't working.

The power antenna quit working on my 2000 Q. The problem is apparently in the circuit board inside the power unit. There is 12V at the connector to the power unit and it switches properly when the radio turns on and off. The motor works properly in both directions when 12V is applied directly to it's connector pins. When installed the motor won't run at all. The mast is fine.

Is this a common failure on the 2nd generation Q?

Does anyone have a working used power unit they would be willing to part with at a reasonable price? Infiniti of Scottsdale wants $253 for a new one.
