2000 Pathy No Overdrive
2000 Pathy No Overdrive
Distributor failed. Replaced it, had to reposition the TPS. Have not had Overdrive since. I got a code when I did the transmission Self Test so I adjusted the TPS still nothing now that TPS is correct I get no code. Fluid is clean and full. I am about to burn this. Any suggestions?

Did you use a multimeter to check the alignment of the tps? There should be .4v-.5v on the lower 2 pins at closed position, up to 4v at wot.

Yes, after I adjusted it with my feeler gauge to get continuity at the specified point it had continuity from the ground pin to the neg.batt post and had the proper voltage.

It doesnt want to shift into 3rd without me releasing the accelerator pedal now either.

I drove it and ran the Transmission Self Check. The first light Flashed Long indicating the Speed Sensor. I replaced it and it is the same. Test drove and got the same code Long 1st Light and 9 fast flashes afterwards.
