Hello
I'm new to the forum but been lurking for years. I finally need some help that I couldn't find the answer to. My 2000 pathfinder stalled on me and gave me a P0340 code. I've had my pathy parked in the garage for 3 months now and been researching but couldn't get a clear answer. I am not an expert on working with the engine so please use layman terms. My questions:
1. Where is the camshaft position sensor on this 2000 pathy? I've been researching for months.
2. How many are there and If someone can provide a clear location it would be great.
3. Should I change out the crankshaft position sensor as well and where is that located.
4. Anything else I should replace while I'm in the area.

Thanks in advance.

Allan

I assume you have the 3.3L engine. In this case, the CPS is built into the distributor. There is only one. If it's not operating properly, you have to replace the entire distributor.

If your crank sensor is OK, I would not touch it.
