2000 Pathfinder SE - Seized Caliper Slide Pin

I have a very seized lower caliper slide pin on my Pathfinder. I cannot replace the pads as I cannot get the clearance to put the caliper back in place. I have tried both a C-clamp and a hammer to try to get the pin back in with not even a hint of movement.

1) any suggestions?2) can the pin be replaced without replacing the whole mounting bracket? how would this be done?
