2000 Pathfinder Recalls

Hey All

I took my pathfinder 2000 into the dealer just to have a transponder key programmed (from eBay) and they told me that there is a recall on the fuel neck, its the part that you fill fuel through.

Just wanted to give you guys a headsup because they said it can become dangerous if fuel starts to leak

What is the problem, and what will they do to correct it?Also, is there a time limit on this recall?Thanks.

Unsure if there is a time limit but theysaid ASAP to me...I think the problem is that its leaking and is prone to rust..hope that helps

i got my Q 'hot" lol it was off a used dealer so no mail for me...could i register with nissan for future notices? is it free for the recall to be fixed?

i bought mine used and got the letter.yes it is free.it was more for the up north people cause the filler neck wasnt protected from salt.

Yup you are right, they had the recall because the filler neck was not protected and was rusting causing leaks

yah i just called in with the vin number he ran it and it came up as needing the new part so i have to make an apointment now.
