I own a 2000 Nissan Quest and it just died out on me as I was driving it. We towed it home and let it set for a couple of day's while we talked to a few friends to try to figure out what was wrong with it. Then we went out to try to start it, no luck, it would turn over but wouldn't start. Then we removed the gas cap and after a few tries it started. We let it run for a few minutes then shut it off and decided to try to start it again after about 15 or 20 minutes, no luck! We haven't been able to get it started since. Prior to stalling out, it ran great, no warning lights or running rough, basically no warning signs! Anybody have a clue as what could be the problem or how to fix it??

timing belt? pull the plastic covers and check if it snapped. sorry for the late reply; i work too many hours 12-16 and rarely go on this site anymore

don't worry about possible bent intake/exhaust valves ; these are non-interference engines just for the first 2 generations of the 3.0L and 3.3L quest... then the later quests went back to a timing chain setup
