2000 nissan pathfinder turned off while running

so the other day I was driving down the street and the car turned off while I was pressing on the gas. Pulled over and tried turning it on again and the engine would not start. Got it towed home. The next day turned the key and it started off fine. Abvously not the timing belt. Replaced the spark plugs/wires rotor distributer and cap about a month ago everything calibrated. So can it be somthing with the fuel System?

No codes. Every now and then engin service light goes on u plug in the computer and no codes show up caviles858

I had this same problem, it was my MAF. Try cleaning it and see if it gets any better. I have read that they are prone to failure. Do not use a K&N or any type of oiled filter with these vehicles. I know you didnt mention it but it warrants saying.

If you do clean your MAFS be sure to use CRC MAFS cleaner, it is in a spray can and can be found at most auto parts stores.

Some people use brake cleaner but it is too aggressive and it is not a good idea to use on a MAFS.

Also you should reset the ECU after cleaning your MAFS, the easiest way to do it is to just disconnect the battery for a few minutes.
