I have a 2000 nissan maxima se that did not start one day. I sent it to a local mech. and he changed the fuel pump but this did not help. He then claimed my computer was bad. I sent the car to another mech. He said the car cranked right up. Once running he did find two bad coil packs and changed them out. I picked up the car and the very next morning the car did not start again. The car then sat up for 2 months. The battery was dead when I was able to get back on working on the problem. I charged the battery up to start troubleshooting and the car started up like nothing was wrong. Any suggestions would be well appreciated.

Welcome to NICO.

When it won't start, what happens?

the guy i'm quoting had a similar problem:

"...the problem was that the battery had a dead cell. But the thing is I do not understand why I was getting 12.83 Volts on my meter. When I turn the key all the lights glowed up perfectly."

maybe you had a bum battery cell too? if you didn't throw it away yet you should get it tested.
