Hi!

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxium SE. Everytime I open the drivers side window, it sounds like the motor can barely open/close it. The last time I had it opened, I tried closing it and i had to physically help push the window up with my hand. I'm guessing the motor is done and does not seem like a tough fix. Do I just need a Window Lift Motor? I saw some remanufactured ones for around $15. Is that worth it, or should I buy the $57-$68 ones I've seen online? Any info will help. Thanks!

You can try cleaning and lubricating the window tracks with silicone spray first, but it probably wouldn't help a large amount. It's also possible that the motor is full of crud or corrosion, it may be worth a try to disassemble it to clean and lubricate it first if you're so inclined.
