Just finished doing a brake job and all the brake tests worked perfectly. Replaced Calipers, Pads, Rotors and Bled the Brakes, making sure to remove the battery cable, and bled them in the specified order (RR FL RL FR).

So new noise new problems. Upon changing gears from reverse to drive or parking to drive there are two weird noises. Also acceleration seems to be affected as well. Car acceleration drives fine as long as there's no load (i.e. hill) and it remains in the 2k rpm range. Raising the rpm above 2 doesn't have any added acceleration like it should. There used to be a clunk when it kicked into gear at higher rpms for huge increase in acceleration, thats no longer the case. Now the there simply is no acceleration past 2k rpms and it can barely limp up a mild hill. So punching the gas pedal all the way down will shoot the engine up to 4 or 5k rpms but there simply is no acceleration or power going to the wheels.

Sound is between seconds 0:11-0:13 of the movie.

Any ideas?

(On a side note that may be related, I did have to run some kid off who was trying to steal my tires, he had the rear jacked up along the center rear axle (not the lip but that middle metal tube that runs the length of hollow in the rear axle). I don't think its related because the car is FWD but I thought I'd mention it.

I don't hear the noise clearly in the video. As far as the power, you could possibly have a restricted catalytic converter, or a transmission issue.

It could be the catalytic converter, I'm not getting any error codes now but it did pop once a couple months

I'm guessing that a DIY catalytic converter replacement install is involved?

Yeah, did the dude jacking up your car crush your exhaust? You SHOULD be able to test that theory without spending any money by removing all of your exhaust before the cat. If it hauls a**, you know where the problem is :)
