2000 Maxima will not start

I accidentally placed a pathfinder key in my maxima to start it. After I realized my mistake, I tried to use the correct maxima key, but it would not work. What should I do?

It's possible that you damaged the ignition cylinder when you tried turning the ignition with the incorrect key. I would try using the correct key different ways and if no luck, you'll need to replace the ignition cylinder.
