Hey, Im new to this forum and hope Im in the right section. I have a 2000 auto trans i30 and am contemplating an engine swap; the same engine, so I guess its a replacement, not a swap. My question is does the ecu need to be flashed? I had probs wit the p0505 and replaced it on current motor (IACV) and was unable to relearn the idle (I know the issue with the iacv and ecu) so Im unsure as to whether I should keep the current throttle body and iacv setup on new engine or perhaps just leave the TB from the new used motor on. If so, or if not, either way does the ecu have to be flashed? As far as I understand it, only the sensors on the TB and IACV are the only elements that require an updated relationship with the ecu. Also, after the motor mounts and manifold what challenges lay ahead should I choose to undertake this myself. Im fairly good with mechanics and have done everything under the hood except valve jobs, swaps, and of course transmission s***. Can someone lend me some pointers,
