I purchased a 2000 maxima GLE with 165000 miles on it, I notice that the car feels like it gonna cut off when I start it up on a cold day or at a stop light. I have to put the car in neutral just to keep it going at the stop light. Funny thing is that once the car is warmed up it drives fine. Do I need to replace the spark plugs, etc

Thanks in advance

If it stalls out it is probably a problem with the IAC valve, this is a common issue with a 2000 Maxima. Is the "Service Engine Soon" light on?

You need to clean throttle body and MAF sensor. You can buy mass air flow cleaner at the auto parts store. Remove air cleaner and intake boot from throttle body. Spray the maf sensor with cleaner, do not touch the wires on the sensor, just spray them. Next take a tooth brush and some throttle body cleaner and clean the throttle plate and housing. Hold plate in the WOT position and clean. reinstall parts and crank engine and allow to idle. It could have some carbon build up on the valves too. I would take to a shop who uses BG products and have a upper induction cleaning done.
