I have a 2000 maxima that surges at 1500-2000 rpm. I have new plugs, new coils (ebays), have cleaned the MAF and have set the tps at 4.5 resistance per some advice.
starts and idles really great at about 750 rpm, it's only until I step on the gas and gets to 1500 rpm that the surging starts. starts at 1500 , goes to 2000 and down to
1500 again, then to 2000 again and down again and so on. I let of the gas and the car sounds like there's nothing wrong. Really good idle
I'm also getting a P1320 code Even with the code it was running really good until I decided to change the TPS and everything went haywire. Don't know what else to do
I really need some help. It's a great car, just the evil surge.
Someone told me that it could be a vacuum leak. Can anyone help.

Possible causes for P1320:

- Harness or connectors (The ignition primary circuit is open or
shorted.)
- Power transistor unit built into ignition coil
- Condenser
- Crankshaft position sensor (REF)
- Crankshaft position sensor (REF) circuit

Try cleaning the idle air control valve
There might be some carbon in it
Mine would multimeter ok but he carbon was messing it up
You should be able to find some history for repairs in this NICO website
