Dear 2000 Maxima SE Experts;

After replacing oxygen sensors and ignition coil assemblies, all my DTC codes have dissapeared except P0430. The car runs perfectly and there are no other indications of Catalytic Converter failure - it was physically inspected and didn't look burned up or broken. I do have the "California" emissions with 4 Oxygen sensors. 3 out of 4 have been replaced in the last 18 months.

Does anyone know the latest software update date for the 2000 Nissan Maxima SE ECM software?

I've had the software updated twice, however I need to know if there have been any updates within the last few years, and I'd like to know exactly what the last date of ECM updates available is.

Thank you for your help. Looking forward to a dark dashboard with no MIL light.

Sincerely,

Jim Nitzberg

I doubt there have been specific updates for a 2000, but you should be able to call your local Nissan dealer to determine the latest available update.

For now clear the code if it pops up again, try replacing the 4th O2 sensor. it may even be a bypass valve the lose or damaged etc.
