2000 Maxima rear window defrost

Checking problems with defrost. Noticed a few of the grids have opens. Trying to decipher the wiring. On the left side rear pillar, there is a small brass crimped connector the goes to a single lower grid line. Is the thing (brass crimp) a fuse or fusible link? Power goes to it, but there is no power to the that single grid. All the rest of the grids have power. The factory wiring diagram is no help.
