Welcome to NICO.

It could be that your thermostat is stuck in the closed position. In which case you need to replace the thermostat.

Thanks Scott

I had to go out last night and as soon as I went a couple of miles on the interstate my car started acting up and the engine heat indicator was to the max. I was not able to accelerate and the car was vibrating heavily

Is this something you know about? Has it to do with the coolant? Do I need a radiator flush?

ThanksMKA

You need to quit driving it, until you can get it fixed. The Maxima has an aluminum engine, which is sensitive to overheating. You could blow a head gasket or warp a head if you continue to drive and overheat it.

You could probably get away with just replacing the thermostat, but I would go ahead and do a flush while you're at it.

Got the coolant system checked by the nearest auto care I could find from where my car was stuck.. He said the car is leaking coolant in the area where the IAC hooks onto the throttle body...

The IAC valve was replaced by the Nissan dealership last week and they have towed it to their place today... I think they shouldnt charge for it as its for sure related to the IAC valve they replaced last week!!!!
