The trouble code indicates that it is a MAP sensor. The car was built 11/99 does any one have experience with this problem?

Our cars are equipped with a MAF (mass airflow sensor), not to be confused with a MAP (mass air pressure sensor). Code P105 is an absolute pressure sensor, which I'm not exactly sure what that is. Scott, Minister, Audtatious, any suggestions?

MAP actually stands for Manifold Absolute Pressure. Check the harness for a good connection, aor any signs of water in the connector. Here's a pic to help you locate it.

there is a solenoid (which is on top like the picture shows), and the sensor which look like it is on the passenger side of the manifold if I am looking at it corecctly. I was driving, no water around, and the light came on.

thanks for your drawing. It was much better than the manual I had. I found that the connector needed to be reseated. My daughter was in a front end crash and in the process of repairing the front end the connector was not seated properly.thanks again
