Hi, I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima GLE. I just installed OBX v2 headers, test pipe, and stainless cat-back.

I bought an o2 sim for the secondaries and tried extending the primaries. First the solder wouldn't stick to the silver o2 wire. At the same time the copper/silver wires didn't look like they wanted solder together very well. Then I tried crimping the wires and that didn't work very well either.

I figure with 145,000 miles it's due for new ones anyway. I found these Federal spec o2 sensors made for upstream. I'm curious if they would work on this California spec 2000 Maxima for both front and back bank primaries. They are supposedly 76" in length which would remove all the headaches if it is compatible. Anyone know if that is compatible for the upstream cali spec sensors?

Refer to the link below to get a better perspective of the CA-Emission configuration and terminology and then go to Sparkplugs.com to find the appropriate O2 sensors (link further down). Once you know the part number you need, you can shop around. The OEM Bosch is expensive but the compatible NGK/NTK sensors are reasonably priced.
