I am trying to replace my cv joint on the passenger side, on a 2000 nissan maxima manual transmission.

This axle is about 38 inches long, with a center bearing support, attached to the car with 3 screws (in the middle of the axle).

I've got the wheel side off, but just cant seem to get the axel out of the transmission.I took out the 3 screws, but the axel seems frozen in the transmission. I know I had to tap it in somewhat, to get the wheel off.Any suggestions how to get it out, where to pry exactly, what to do?

help is appreciated for sure! there doesnt seem really anywhere to pry.

Dave.

where you took the 3 'screws' out of, that is a support bearing, if you look closely you will see 2 seperate parts, one the outside is the axle side, the inside(trans side) is the support, smack a screwdriver or something similar in the middle of the two until it seperates, you may have to use a prybar, once that is broken loose, it will come right out of the trans, that is the hardest part
