2000 Infiniti qx4

Hi guys,

I am a new here and recently I got a QX4.
I like it and smooth ride.
However, I have a 2 questions.

1. When I put a gas, transmission does hard jump to 2nd. Like 1st to 2nd. It is like jumping and rpm drops. Other gear seems ok but only 1st to 2nd.
Does anybody know how to fix this thing?

2. On freeway, driving is fine like 60 to 70 mils/h but when I take off my foot from pedal, car is like swing little bit.
It is like I shake steering wheel like(just little bit but kind of uncomfortable it).
Is it alignment thing?

Hello and welcome:

1. What does the transmission fluid look and smell like? And search above on 'hard shift'; could be a MAF issue, cleaning it would be the 1st step.

2. Search on 'death sway', there's more threads on that topic (rear trailing arms) than any other.

1. trans fluid looks red and clean. thank you and I will clean MAF
