does anyone know of any inexpensive quick ways to make small performance upgrades to a 2000 infiniti i30? the acceleration isnt that great but i dont know if i can do anythign about that without installing a supercharger. ? my brakes also squeak nonstop when im braking. does anyone know how i can fix this? it doesnt affect performance but its annoying as hell and ive had them looked at and replaced but they still whine.

is it bad for the car if you take turns too fast and slide and you can hear the tires squealing?

A y-pipe is the best mod for a 3.0. It yeilds approximately 9 hp and fills out the power band quite nicely. You could also add an underdrive pulley.

As for brakes, use stock pads and pad attachments (metal clips).

Check your tire pressure or slow down to reduce tire squeal.

As long as you don't slide into anything, you should not be causing any damage other than tire wear...

Lack of accel performance isnt generally a concern of max/I30 owners unless you are a gear head of course like these guys. You may have a known problem with the airflow meter not registering properly. I recommend you look at the part # on the side of the airflow meter. If it ends in -AD200 I recommend you get the updated part and have the dealer reprogram the ecm with the updated info for the new airflow meter. I bet you will see quite an improvement in acceleration.

The '00-01 3.0L monifolds have had some issues with the Variable Intake breaking, thus causing a loss of performance. Something to look into.
