Just got new transmission (145K miles). Now, intermittently, when I try to start the car nothing happens except:
1) warning lights (check engine, etc) come on
2) I can hear one "click" that seems to be coming from behind the glove box (no other sound)
If you keep trying - or wait a while - it will start immediately. Does not happen all the time - most times starts fine.
The starter and "inhibitor" have been replaced.
Any thoughts? Much thanks

Check your battery connections first and foremost, if you haven't already. Make sure they're very secure, because mine were slightly loose on my I30 and weren't making good connection, which resulted in similar symptoms. Also check your battery cables and grounds. If that doesn't solve it, you could be having an issue with your actual ignition switch and may need to replace it.
